Analysis of Contents Pages

A contents page in a magazine is a page that informs you which story is on which page.

This is a very professional looking contents page and it includes everything a contents page should.

The language on this contents page is quite laid back and not very formal however it isn’t informal either.

The images on this contents page are all similar but different, they all involve a skateboard.

The ideology of this contents page is to promote skate boarding.

The audience of this contents page will probably be teenage girls but mainly boys and people interested in skateboarding.

The representation of this content page is a skateboarding boy.

The language of this contents page is very bland.

Two images on this content page are quite fashion related by the looks of it. The images all look quite dull as the lighting doesn’t seem very bright.

The writing is difficult to read because it slightly blends with the background colour.

The ideology of this content page is to give you an insight as to what is in the magazine.

The audience for this would be college students.

The representation is the images.

The images in this content page look like they have professionally been produced as they are well lit and are to a very good quality.

The audience for this contents page is students, both boys and girls but I think mainly girls because there are no boys in the images.

The representation is happy, cheerful looking girls.
